Cleaning your LV padlocks (before and after pics) |
Good day everyone!
My OCD strikes and so I have to do this!!!
I recently purchased a purse and a padlock and a couple of keys goes with it...
I do not intend to use the keys so I just kept it inside the cabinet
Last night I have decided to fix my things and saw the lock and keys... and I have noticed that it starts to oxidize :(
Since brass is as equally elegant as gold, I do want it to be as shiny as gold as well plus the fact that I hate seeing the tarnished lock ... and should I decide to use it in the future, I don't want it to stain the purse...
I looked for a brass cleaner in the house but to no avail, I do not want to purchase a brass cleaner solely for this lock and keys... so the solution... consult GOOGLE!
Voila--- the power tool would be something that is very common in the ref / kitchen ... ketchup!!!
Following the instructions...minutes after, it brought back its original shine yehey!!!
1. Squirt a spoonful of ketchup on a dry cleaning rag and work the ketchup in to the bras surface. Leave behind a thin coat of ketchup and let it sit for a minute or so.
available at your kitchen |
a teaspoon of ketchup |
2. Rinse the rag and wipe the brass to remove excess ketchup.

padlock before cleaning |
3. Buff the brass with a clean dry rag, to achieve a clean, polished shine!

Equally effective yet the price is very reasonable :)
Hope you find this useful kikays :) xoxo
