NATURAL MOM : Baby Wearing, Cloth Diapering and Breastfeeding experience.

Feb 27, 2012 - I gave birth to my 3rd girl "Andy"...

Prior to Andy's birth I have decided to breastfeed her exclusively no matter what it takes ...
I am a work at home and there's no reason why I shouldn't.

Growing family would mean additional expenses so I need to find more ways to save some more...
Then I was opened to the beautiful world of Breastfeeding , babywearing, and cloth diapering , thanks to the technology, with just one click you would be able to access information beyond imagination hehe...

Problem #1...my number concern is that I won't have enough milk supply (coz it was not a success with my first two girls :( --- but after reading a lot of articles and after asking support from a good friend Rej Dela Cruz, I realized I was wrong... breastfeeding is actually a lifestyle . . . you need to know the basics and you just have to practice and do it the right way... thank God I am still breastfeeding Andy (on our 3rd month this 27th May) really... once you know how to do it correctly, it'll be a bliss :)

milk monster in action :)

proper latching is the key to successful breastfeeding...

Problem #2: Breastfeeding in public... there's no way I am gonna expose those breasts in public haha...and then I found out there are wide range of nursing covers which you can purchase...my 2 faves would be Next9 Nursing cover, they are so affordable for only P300 you'll have a stylish cover na... another fave would be INDIGOBaby's Boncho which you can actually use whether you're breastfeeding or not..

wherever you are, you can now breastfeed discreetly :) Thanks to these fashionable dis-COVER-ies :)

Problem #3 ... Disposable diapers are very expensive these days... being aware of such must-have tool as the nursing cover, i found out that there are cloth diapers that will give you the comfort of cloth while  having the same performance as the disposable nappies... and oh, they also come in cute prints too...my personal favorite would by Next9's Whimsy :)

Andy loves them...

She doesn't use disposable diapers anymore :)

And having found these cloth diapers... I was able to save at least P800 per week alone :) not to mention the savings I get for not having to buy formula for Andy :)

Problem #4... no social Life??? Since I am exclusively breastfeeding this little angel, I am afraid I would not have a social life at all...how can I leave the house without her...it's hard having to carry her wherever I go...(she doesn't drink from the bottle - FYI), so the solution... why not babywear her!!!
it's new to me, but this practice has been in circulation for years...

Babywearing is the practice of wearing or carrying a baby or child in a sling or other form of carrier. Babywearing is far from new and has been practised for centuries around the world. In the industrialized world, babywearing has gained popularity in recent decades, partly under influence of advocates of attachment parenting; however, not all parents who babywear consider themselves attachment parents (wikipedia)
Even Barbie wears her baby too... (funny)

I have 2 slings and so far , I must say that they are both soooo good :) dependeing on my mood , I would use the Saya Baby Carrier or the RingSling ... obviously, most products I use are that of Next9  Thanks Jen !!!
